WELCOME to Cedar Creek Botanicals!

Nestled in the Row River Basin, at the base of the Cedar Creek Drainage, in the foothills of the Cascades lies a 10-acre gem...

This farm is a dream come true for Cheryl Bertuccelli, Herbalist, Medicine Maker & Nutrition Consultant.  It is a place to learn about the plants that grow wild arounds us, how to ID them and transform them into many types of medicine.  Plants have much to teach us and this knowledge (wisdom or study) is what drew Cheryl to plant medicine.

Located on the farm is a Learning Centre. Here workshops and lectures will be given.  Topics will include crafts with herbs, medicine making, as well as lectures on Menopause, Heart Health and Oral Health to name just a few.

At present there are 3 medicinal herb gardens, including an endangered plants garden, with future gardens in the plans!  All plants are grown organically, most plants were started from seed and bare roots in 2006. Today the 3 gardens offer some 95 cultivated medicinal herbs. At last count (5-19-08) Cheryl has discovered 64 wild medicinal herbs growning on the property as well. Herb walks are available by appointment starting Spring 2008.

Discovered while cycling on the Row River Bike Path in 1999- Cheryl Bertuccelli & John Minnick decided to live their dream.

Unable to make "the big" move until 2005, Cheryl got busy in Sonoma County, California getting educated.

Cheryl attended Bauman College for 2 years attaining a Nutrition Consultant certificate.  It was during the first month of holistic nutrition school that the herbs called to her.  Luckily the California School of Herbal Studies was located 5 minutes from her home.  During that 2 year period, Cheryl doubled up on her schooling and became an intern at the Sonoma County Herb Exchange, as well.

With a voracious appetite for her new found love, Cheryl studied- whole foods nutrition, herbal medicine and body systems, medicine making, plant ID and organic gardening.

After her move to Oregon in 2005 Cheryl continued her herbal education, taking classes and attending the NorthWest Herb Fest at Wise Acres Farm. This education has given Cheryl a "taste" of the medicinal plants used locally.

Cheryl's professional memberships include:AmericanHerbalist     Guild (AHG), Sonoma County Herb Association (SCHA),
United Plant Savers (UpS), Co-OP of America.

With the gardens in their second year and future gardens to plant, the farm will be a great educational tool for years to come for all ages. So, with each day the story is unfolding......new wild medicinals to be discovered......more seeds to plant......there is much to
learn.........the garden calls.......
